IT WAS NOT THE FIRST TIME AND I'M SURE IT WILL NOT BE THE LAST TIME. HOWEVER, I COME BEFORE YOU ASKING FOR CHANGE. I'M NOT GOING TO GO INTO DETAIL WITH THAT BECAUSE I WON'T WASTE TIME SAYING SOMETHING THAT WON'T BE HEARD, BUT I WILL TELL YOU IT'S MESSING WITH MY CHILD AND HEARING HER MENTAL, SOCIAL WELL-BEING AND EMOTIONAL STATUS AT SCHOOL. IT IS AFFECTING HER ACADEMICS AND IT WILL EVENTUALLY AFFECT WHO SHE IS AS A YOUNG LADY GROWING UP IF SHE CONTINUES TO BE ON THIS TEAM WITHOUT CHANGE. THERE IS MORE DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION SO I'M ASKING THAT YOU TRAIN AND PROVIDE TRAINING FOR YOUR TEACHERS , PROVIDE HER WITH AN ASSISTANT COACH AND CHAINING IN GENERAL. MORE THAN ANYTHING SO SHE'S ABLE TO KNOW HOW TO TALK TO THESE CHILDREN, HOW TO TALK TO THE GIRLS, HOW TO TREAT THEM SO THEY DON'T COME HOME FRUSTRATED AND CRYING UNABLE TO SPEAK THEIR MIND BECAUSE THEY BEEN TORN DOWN EMOTIONALLY BY THE THINGS SHE HAS SAID AND THROUGH HER ACTIONS. THE ROOMS WE WERE MOVED TO ARE IN NEED OF REPAIR AND TEACHERS ARE FORCED TO SHARE CLASSROOMS AS ROOMS ARE TURNED OVER TO COUNSELORS. WHY DO COUNSELORS REQUIRE ENTIRE CLASSROOMS NO REGARD WAS GIVEN FOR STUDENT NEEDS. I INHERITED A LAB DIRTY, UNSAFE, WITH FLAMMABLE CHEMICALS AND CABINETS, PEELING PAINT, BROKEN AIR-CONDITIONER, STORAGE ROOM WITH FOOD AND TRASH THERE ARE NO DESKS, STUDENT SIT ON STOOLS FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF, THE ROOM I WAS ASSIGNED SPOKE VOLUMES, THE OPPORTUNITY FOR BOND WAS NECESSARY TO IMPROVE SCHOOL GROUNDS INSTEAD CAMPUSES RESEMBLE DETENTION CENTERS. THERE'S NO DENYING THESE ENVIRONMENTS ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR STUDENTS, STUDENTS DRIVE WITH ROUTINE STRUCTURE AND CONSISTENCY. WEDNESDAY MY DAUGHTER SUFFERED A HEAD INJURY. SHE WAS DISORIENTED. SHE BLACKED OUT, HAD NO MEMORY. WEDNESDAY NIGHT SHE HAD A HUGE , HUGE BUMP ON HER HEAD AND I TOLD HER YOU ARE NOT TO PURCHASE TOMORROW. I KNOW IT IS HER SIXTH PERIOD SO SHE HAD TO REPORT, BUT WHEN SHE WENT I SAID YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR COACH YOU ARE NOT PARTICIPATING. COACH STILL HAD HER PARTICIPATE ON THURSDAY WHERE SHE SUSTAINED ANOTHER INJURY. IT WAS NOT REPORTED, I WAS NOT NOTIFIED. AND I'M HORRIFIED BECAUSE WHEN WE TOOK HER TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM, THEY SAID BECAUSE SHE SUSTAINED TWO INJURIES THE SYMPTOMS WERE WORSENING. A HEAD INJURY, MY STUDENT COULD'VE DIED WHEN I PUT HER TO BED WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND TRIED TO WAKE HER UP THURSDAY MORNING AND SHE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THERE. I AM PLEADING WITH YOU GUYS TO PLEASE PROTECT THESE KIDS. BECAUSE THANKFULLY MY DAUGHTER DID NOT DIE, BUT WHAT IF IT IS ANOTHER STUDENT? WHEN IS ENOUGH ENOUGH? SHE DID NOT FOLLOW ANY SAFETY PROTOCOLS ACCORDING TO THE NATIONAL FEDERATION OF STATE HIGH SCHOOL ASSOCIATION FOR HEAD INJURY. YOU ARE TO REMOVE THE STUDENT FROM PLAY IMMEDIATELY WITH A HEAD INJURY. YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO REPORT TO THE PARENT AND FOLLOW UP WITH AN INCIDENT REPORT. YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO WATCH FOR WORSENING EFFECTS. MY DAUGHTER HAS NOT BEEN HERSELF LATELY. HER DOCTOR TOLD HER SHE CANNOT EVEN GO ATTEND TO SCHOOL AT ALL SHE IS NOT TO ATTEND SCHOOL THIS WHOLE WEEK BECAUSE SHE DOES NOT EVEN WANT HER DURING A MATH PROBLEM.

SHE HAS BEEN RETALIATED AGAINST LAST YEAR FOR JOINING AVIATION.

IT IS AN INCREDIBLE SCHOOL TO BE AT. A LITTLE TIRED RIGHT NOW BECAUSE I WAS AT THE DODGERS GAME LAST NIGHT AND WE WON WHICH IS ALWAYS A GOOD THING. WHILE I WAS THERE, THEY HAVE A TRADITION WHERE THEY HONOR A VETERAN AND I MYSELF SERVED FOR 10 YEARS SO I ALWAYS ENJOY THAT STANDING APPLAUDING AND APPRECIATE THE SERVICE THEY GIVE AND IT , WHEN THOSE THINGS HAPPEN IT MAKES ME REFLECT ON MY SERVICE MY LIFETIME OF SERVICE THAT I DO OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL I WENT TO THE NAVY, WAS NOT THE BEST STUDENT I SHOULD SAY. ONE OF THE THINGS IS, WHAT WE DO AS EDUCATORS , WITH THE EDUCATORS IN THE ROOM, THE EDUCATORS IN THE DISTRICT, THE STAFF, THE CLASSIFIED, THE CUSTODIANS, BUT IN THE DISTRICT, WHAT WE DO FOR KIDS, WE DO FOR A REASON. RECENTLY ON FACEBOOK I SAW A VIDEO THAT BLEW ME AWAY AND I THEN SHARED IT WITH THE TITLE I'M NOT CRYING, YOU'RE CRYING. THERE WAS A WOMAN IN A HOSPITAL BED

AND SOMEBODY WAS FILMING HER AS SHE WAS READING A NOTE FROM A FORMER STUDENT OF HERS. HER STUDENT AS SHE WAS READING A STUDENT HAD A BIG PERSONALITY IN CLASS. HE EXPLAINED HOW SHE MADE A TREMENDOUS IMPACT ON HIS LIFE. SHE'S GOING HOW HE WAS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT IN CLASS. WE HAVE ALL DEALT WITH DIFFICULT STUDENTS WHO WE KNEW THAT WE HAD TO GIVE A LITTLE EXTRA LOVE TO, A LITTLE EXTRA SUPPORT, TELL THEM HOW MUCH WE BELIEVED IN THEM. AND SHE SAW THAT HE DESERVED TO BE LOVED.

HE WAS BETTER THAN HIS ACTIONS AND HER MESSAGE TO HIM WAS CONSISTENTLY HER BELIEF IN HIM AND HER ABILITIES. NOW, THIS IS SOMETHING MOST FACULTY AND STAFF FROM BELLFLOWER UNIFIED AND MOST DISTRICTS CAN RELATE TO.
